This here is a closer look at the Allure 2015 products for hair regrowth and scalp treatment. Let us see what the customers think of them.
- Head & Shoulders Instant Relief Shampoo and Conditioner
These products are for dandruff relief. They contain zinc pyrithione for dandruff control but also tea tree essence and peppermint oil for a soothing and cooling effect. This shampoo contains sodium lauryl sulfate (sls) which is great for cleaning the scalp effectively. Despite of that there doesn’t seem to be any complaints regarding ‘stripping of oils from hair’ and has received 4.5 out 5 from 806 customers on the heads and shoulders website. It is similarly rated on amazon. You can find it here.
- Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Salt
This product is a detox scrub for the scalp and is quite interesting because it is meant to cleanse and rebalance sensitive or oily scalps. The company also recommends using it as a post-coloring treatment, to calm itchiness and remove chemical residues left on the scalp. For those trying to stimulate hair growth, the massaging effects can also improve blood circulation. It can be used instead of your shampoo, and it lathers up as you keep massaging the scalp. This product gets close to a 5 on both amazon and sephora. Find it here.
- Redken Cerafill Retaliate Hair Regrowth Treatment
This Redken product is meant for thinning hair and can help hair regrowth, with the Allure product reviewed being the 2% Minoxidil solution for women. The product is said to help hair regrow within 4-6 months, although it claims that it doesn’t cure frontal baldness. However, the product for women is not highly rated so far, with a 3.2 out 5 from Ulta from only 5 customers, and a 3.7 from 14 amazon customers, (with 29% rating it 2 stars ad below). Complaints are due to a lack of performance or other unwanted effects.
The 5% minoxidil solution for men however, seems to be better rated. It gets a 4.4 out of 5 from 9 amazon reviews.
